2024 Q3 Business and Product Updates: YuJa, Inc. Delivers Expanded Functionality Across Its Portfolio of Cloud-Based Learning and Accessibility Solutions

YuJa, Inc. continued its commitment to innovation in the third quarter of 2024 by rolling out key updates across its suite of products for regulated sectors.

Business and Customer Highlights

In Q3, YuJa continued to grow its customer base and strengthened relationships with educational institutions around the world. Significant milestones include:

  • Launching AccessNotes Note-Taking Platform, a note-taking platform that enables audio recording and conversion of lecture audio into accessible formats suitable for screen readers, immersive readers, and more. 
  • Releasing AudioName Pro, an add-on platform to YuJa Panorama designed to promote inclusivity and improve communication by allowing users to record and share the correct pronunciation of their names.
  • Increasing adoption of products across the portfolio, including with systems like the South Dakota Board of Regents, institutions like the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Macalester College, University of Detroit Mercy, Indian River State College, Principia College, Coastal Carolina University, and others.
  • Expanding accessibility tools adoption, from adding PDF Remediation Max to SmartSpeaker and the Website Accessibility Tool to their ed-tech stack. Some institutions adopting these tools as part of their commitment to inclusivity and accessibility include River Parishes Community College, College of DuPage, Carl Sandburg College, Cape Fear Community College, and others.

Product Updates Span YuJa’s Portfolio

YuJa made many updates to its product offerings, aimed at improving both functionality and user experience. Key updates include:

The YuJa Enterprise Video Platform saw significant enhancements this quarter, including an upgraded Enterprise VideoTube interface, enhanced content report visuals, and new sub-admin permission management features that enhance user experience with improved video content discovery, clearer content reporting, and the ability to streamline administrative controls for better management across institutions. 

The YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform received a number of updates that streamline content creation, ensure compliance with evolving accessibility standards, and improve efficiency for users. Key updates include web and HTML views for WYSIWYG content, an accessibility check for outdated file formats, and improved processing speeds for generating reports.

YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform introduced a wizard for creating proctored assessments, LMS hierarchy support, and the Verity Mobile Lockdown App for D2L Brightspace and Moodle. These updates simplify proctoring workflows, enhance administrative control, and improve accessibility for mobile test-takers.

The YuJa Engage Student Response System saw a unified workflow for managing surveys and polls, the addition of an open discussion question type, and the ability to upload images as matching question answers, among other updates that enhance user interaction, simplify poll management, and offer more diverse ways to engage students.

YuJa Software Capture for PC now includes the ability to schedule upload windows for recordings, on-screen indicators for recording status, and automatic launch after recording completion. Additionally, remote monitoring for device sign-outs and automatic capture resumption after unexpected reboots enhance overall reliability and ease of use for content creators.

EqualGround, YuJa’s newest accessibility product, also saw updates this quarter that enhance accessibility and user experience with a comprehensive dashboard for viewing institutional accessibility, SEO auditing, and an accessibility report for web pages. Users can track credit summaries, receive email notifications, and access new Performance, SEO, and document reports. Key features include AutoPilot for in-line remediation suggestions, color-blind filters for web reports, and the ability to scan individual pages or exclude multiple URLs. Additionally, real-time integration with WordPress and Drupal offers insights into accessibility issues, while AutoPilot.AI proposes fixes for entire web pages, streamlining compliance efforts and improving overall accessibility.
