In case the last release didn’t satiate your appetite for new features, I’m back to provide you with an absolute feast (it’s actually smaller than the last one but let’s pretend). Why? Well, because we love to spoil you, of course. That and I’ll take any excuse to engage with you. See what I did there? All right, I’m sorry for the lazy pun, but I can never resist taking a bite of some low-hanging fruit. Speaking of which, how about that feast I promised you?
Let’s Have an Open Discussion
Here at YuJa, we believe in freedom of expression. In fact, we’ve fostered a safe space where individuals can speak their minds, free of inhibitions: the parking lot. Mostly after hours. But that’s beside the point. The point is, in keeping with that same spirit, Engage now allows content creators to include an Open Discussion question in their polls. This new question type allows participants to freely express their thoughts and opinions without being punished graded.
1 Picture = 1000 Words
Have you ever heard the old adage, a picture is worth a thousand words? Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock (another old adage), then of course you have. And since we have no way of disputing its authenticity, we tend to agree. That’s why you can now upload images when creating multiple-choice questions. Perfect for when you don’t have time to write a thousand words.
Don’t Fall on the Wrong Side of the Geofence
No one likes to do mindless repetitive tasks, like doing the dishes, or blog writing. Kidding! (Gosh, I hope my boss isn’t reading this.) Moving on. Routinely used geofence locations can now be saved! Isn’t that great? So the next time you’re creating an attendance, you can choose from a saved list of geofences instead of having to manually enter the same one over and over again, freeing you up for other mindless repetitive tasks. Like taking attendance.
Trash or Treasure?
Sometimes we throw things out by accident (or on accident if you’re a Gen Zer). And I’ll admit, I’ve made my fair share of whoopsies in this regard. Most notably the time I threw out my old wallet which was really my new wallet. After I had moved everything into it. Anyway. All this to say that content creators can now recover an activity from their Recycle Bin if and when they make a whoopsie.
The end.
Okay, so maybe that wasn’t exactly a feast, but it sure was a sizable meal. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough. Thank you for breaking bread with me, and we hope you enjoy using the YuJa Engage Student Response System.
