Both the Video Platform and Accessibility Platform are used widely at the institution by instructors, students, and even non-instructional departments like the CETL and marketing.
The Video Platform is used at the institution in many ways, including for web capture, recording lectures, uploading videos, and creating video assignments. Auto-captioning, a feature that was not offered with the institution’s previous product, “has saved many hours of work,” Rodgers said. “Users can also search through transcripts and captions, which makes finding things easy.”
YuJa Panorama provides a centralized location with reporting for all content, which has been helpful for instructors. “I don’t want to say it’s magic, but it really does help that our faculty can look in one location to see what their course looks like, issues, and not only that, how to remedy issues. Then, you can remedy most of those issues in the same place,” McCrary said.
“When we first began using YuJa Panorama, it was apparent that it was going to be a very valuable tool for administrators, faculty and students. The integration and use of Panorama has been simple and seamless.”
Shortly after SIUE upgraded from its in-house platform to the new solution, the company announced it was discontinuing its education product. SIUE had a tight timeframe to select and launch a new video content management system. Ease of use for all users was critical because of the “complex timeframe.”
Dunn said that he found YuJa’s platform easy to learn, its staff easy to work with, and the onboarding process smooth. “YuJa just makes sense. We’ve been impressed by how easy it is and how good the support is. It is a great platform that has suited our needs well.
The institution’s tech team has been impressed not only with the Video Platform, but with YuJa’s ongoing total user support.

Coastal Carolina University launched YuJa’s Media Platform at the start of the Fall 2021 semester. Since its launch, the most heavily used features have been interactive quizzing – which is used in online and face-to-face courses, as well as in the Moodle learning management system environment – and captioning.
The core functions of YuJa’s Video Platform – media creation, storage and management – remain widely used at Endicott College, but as the institution evolves and needs change, YuJa has been able to keep pace.
We looked at a lot of different products, but YuJa was the most flexible. It can be used for all types of digital assets and as a database for those assets,” Morris said, adding that each course has a data cap, prompting instructors to be mindful of their usage.
